Navaratri is the celebration of Goddess Durga in form of Shakti. These Shiv Shaktis are the bestowers of the eight spiritual powers.
The first NavaDurga is Goddess Shailputri, is worshipped on the first day of Navratri. Goddess Durga was born in the house of King of Mountains. Shailputri means the daughter of the mountains, and is also known as Hemavati and Parvati.
