Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga (महाकालेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग) is located in the ancient city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India.
The temple is located near Rudra Sagar lake. Mahakala is Dakshinamurthi – the Shiva linga faces towards the South. The temple is built in five five levels, one of which is underground.
