Eklingji Temple Kailashpuri Udaipur

Eklingji is a manifestation of Shivji. ‘Ek’ means ‘One’, ‘ling’ refers to Shiv lingam, and ‘ji’ is a mark of respect. The temple has a striking four-faced idol of Eklingji (Shivji) that is made out of black marble.

Kailashpuri (Eklingji) is famous for its 108 temples enclosed by a high walls. Eklingji is believed to be the family deity of the Maharanas of the Mewar Princely State.

The temple was built by Bapa Rawal in the 8th century.
